September 19th is rapidly approaching. For those not in the know, September 19 is International Talk-Like-a-Pirate Day. Convergence is everything these days, and if you don't know about it already, you certainly need to check out the new podcasting phenomenon.
It's time to start thinking about September 19th, me hearties! Get your Pirate tunes ripped! Convert those pirate drinking songs into MP3s! There truly needs to be a pirate podcast to fuel the build-up to the big celebration in September.
Maybe people are already thinking about this. www.ayepod.com is registered to a Scottish company. Coincidence? I don't think so. I think some people out there "get it". They realize that the rough-and-ready pirate-talking early adopter most certainly already has an iPod. Is there revenue in it? Maybe. Celebrity? Most surely! The bandwagon stops for nobody, so don't miss the opportunity.
I'm busy with my own big business opportunity at the moment. But I hate to see a new convergent opportunity pass us by. I may not be a big contributor, but if anybody starts doing a talk-like-a-pirate podcast, let me know! I'll git me hornpipe out and celebrate by being the first to add it to my RSS aggregator!
